About Us

Our History

Govt. Brijlal Verma College Pallari is situated in the rural area of the Balodabazar-Bhatapara District which is 70 km from Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur. Pallari is famous for its ancient Siddheshwar Temple. Sirpur a famous historical place is also near Pallari. It is about 25 km from Pallari city on the banks of the river Mahanadi.

  • Govt. College Pallari is renamed as Govt. Brijlal Verma College Pallari in 13.06.2008. Mr. Brijlal Verma was a famous Union Minister of Govt. of India, born in pallari.
  • The academic activities of the college started on 25 July 1989 students and teachers in arts discipline.
  • We got permanent affiliation from the Pt.Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur from the very day of its establishment.
  • Studies in Science Subject were introduced in 2016. As growing number of students intrested in sciencec branch is increasing day by day.
  • Gradually the College developed into a centre for cultural and social activities besides its academic concern.
  • Presently the college has to 05 sanctioned seats of teachers in 13 different subjects of Science and Arts discipline.
  • The institution thus obtains sustaining energy from its efforts for the allround development of the personality of its students.
  • Besides imparting to themthe treasure of knowledge prescribed in books, it has an additional task of ensuring that its pupils not only learn from books, but develop a personality so as to express through their behaviour such values as prevailing in this area.
  • The devotion of the teachers supplemented by the automated library, high-tech Computer Lab and Language Lab provides a productive academic environment.
  • The N.S.S. unit. keeps the students aware of their duties towards the nation. The Philosophy of N.S.S. i.e. 'Personality Development through Selfless Social Service’ is rendered into action.
  • Game and Sports, which is an integral part of the academic programme of the College, helps in building co-operation, brotherhood, self reliance and trains our youth for making a collective effort to achieve the common goal.
  • ‘Effective Communication’ and ‘Computer Literacy Programme’ have been compulsory for all in order to make our students fit to express them properly in the era of Information Technology.
  • In addition to this B.Voc., D.C.A., P.G.D.C.A. have been introduced as a Vocation Course. The institution is moving towards one of the prominent centres of learning in Baloabazar District.
